2020 SEASON

We are seeking directors for our 2020 season!

PROCESS:
Submit a letter of application to The Barn Players, along with your resume.
Indicate the title of your primary choice of show in the application letter. Include your vision for the production and your reasons for applying for that particular show.
In addition, please include a second show choice that you would like us to consider you for during the interview process.

DEADLINE TO APPLY:
July 15 th , 2019

INTERVIEWS:
Interviews will be scheduled from June 16 th – August 4 th by appointment only, with Artistic Director, Eric Magnus, Assistant Artistic Director, Lynn Reddick and board president, Vida Bikales.
Directors will be announced following the August 10 th board meeting.

A Kansas City Theatre Premiere that starred Tony-Award winning actress Idina Menzel on Broadway, with a score by the creators of “Next To Normal”, telling the story of Elizabeth, a city planner, who moves back to New York to restart her life in the city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth's life splits into two parallel paths. The show follows both stories simultaneously, as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.

A Kansas City Community Theatre Premiere about a glamorous Sydney-based performing trio who agree to take their show on the road to the middle of the Australian outback, featuring a hit parade of popular songs of the 70s and 80s such as “It’s Raining Men”, “I Will Survive”, “Hot Stuff”, “Boogie Wonderland”, “MacArthur Park”, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, “I Love The Nightlife” and “Go West”.

A Barn audience favorite based on the classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, telling the story of orphan, Mary Lennox, who moves from India to the dark, foggy moors of Yorkshire, England following the death of her parents, to live with her moody Uncle Archibald and her bedridden nephew, Colin.
